Kevin E. Wilcox

Farmington – Kevin E. Wilcox, 67, of Farmington, passed away at 2:29 AM on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. He was born on November 23, 1950 in Canton, IL to Garth E. and Beverly Jean (Johnson) Wilcox. He married Elizabeth Brashers on November 11, 1970 in Farmington, IL, she survives.

Also surviving are two children, Christine (William) Collins of Farmington and Shawn Wilcox of Farmington; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Hoopie Wilcox of Bryant, Tobie Wilcox of Canton, and Willy Joe Wilcox of Farmington; and two sisters, Penny Goins of Groveland and Dawn Black of Farmington.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Jeff Ellsworth, and two brothers.

Kevin retired from Caterpillar in Mossville after 36 years of service. He was a member of the Canton VFW.

Kevin served in the United States Army doing two tours during the Vietnam War.

Services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, IL. Pastor Jonathan Baker will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow at Smithville Cemetery in rural Hanna City, IL. A visitation will be held from 3-5 PM on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the funeral home.
