Michael L. Pigg, 56, of Summum, IL, passed away at 1:50 am on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at his home. He was born on January 19, 1962 in Canton, IL, the son of Lloyd and Sandra (Ford) Pigg. Mike married, Ruth Kikey on July 28, 2012 in Mexico. She survives.
Also surviving is his son, Bruno Pigg of Summum, brother, Mark (and Alison) Pigg of Statesville, NC and niece, Taylor Pigg of Statesville, NC.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Mike was a meat cutter and owner and operator of Astoria Meat Market.
He enjoyed traveling and going to new places. Mike loved life, his family and friends.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the Summum Christian Church in Summum. Pastor Darrin Fish will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Harbor Lights Hospice, or the Fulton County Humane Society.
