Lewistown- Emma J. Descamps, 61, of Washington and formerly of Lewistown passed away peacefully at 12:20 AM Friday November 2, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria with family by her side.
She was born September 17, 1957 at Canton the daughter of Maurice and Loretta (Brenneman) Bordner. She married Rick Descamps on April 21, 2011 in Las Vegas. He survives along with seven children, Becky (Aaron) Mikulich of Lewistown, Robert (Brandi) Descamps of Bellville, Gretchen (Cortez) Moss of Peoria, Charles (Rhonda) Whitman of Pekin, Jon Whitman of Springfield, Corey Whitman of Argenta, and Stephanie Descamps of E. Peoria, two sisters, Betsy (Gene) Cwick of Canton, and Margie (Jerry) Gramlich of Colorado, three brothers, Jack (Linda) Bordner of Canton, Jim Bordner of Creve Coeur, and Bill (Sue) Bordner of E. Peoria, seventeen grandchildren, Ashley Descamps, Shelbie Descamps, Shianne Descamps, Jillian Descamps, Abigail Descamps, Andrea Williams, Justin Williams, D.J. Hendricks, Jordan Hendricks, Braydon Moss, Skyler Mikulich, Macy Mikulich, Caiden Whitman, Rylie Whitman, Austin (Hayley) McClanahan, Ian McClanahan and Berlin Whitman, two great grandchildren, Clella Descamps, and Branson McClanahan and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, Jazmyne Harris and one brother, George Bordner.
Emma worked for the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office as a tele communicator for 21 years retiring in March 2018. Emma truly loved her job and considered her co-workers family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events. Emma enjoyed fishing and traveling with her husband and her dog Buster. Emma’s friends and family enjoyed her daily snapchat streaks.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Monday at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown. Cremation will be accorded following the visitation and private burial of ashes will be at a later date.
