Fairview - Russell Rock, 82, of Fairview passed away at 6:49 am, Sunday, September 23, 2018 in his home with his loving family near. He was born on March 20, 1936 in Canton to Carl and Doris (Elliott) Rock. His parents preceded him in death. He married Shirley Tracey in Ellisville on June 18, 1955. They celebrated their 63 anniversary. She survives, along with four sons; Gary (Lisa) Rock of Prairie City, Randy Rock of Charleston, Steve (Sheila) Rock of Fenton, MO. and Mark (Tina) Rock of Fairview, sister Norma Essex, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Russell farmed and worked at Midland Coal Company until their closing. He then worked at Maytag in Galesburg, retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Ellisville Christian Church.
Services will be 11 am Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the Ellisville Christian with visitation 1 hour prior. Visitation will also be Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 5-7 pm at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. Burial will follow in Wiley Cemetery in rural Ellisville.
