Canton-Caroline Markley, 89, of Canton, passed away Septmeber 14, 2018 at Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born on May 1, 1929, in Fairview to John Clark and Blanche (Trowbridge) Wilson.
She married Jim Markley on August 29, 1950, in Macomb. He preceded her in death on April 9, 1994.
She is survived by two sons Ray (Tonya) Markley, and Roger Markley, Six grandchildren, Jeremey Markley, David Markley, Richard Markley, Tisha Markley, Lyn Cole, and Karen Hammond, and four great grandchildren, Brittany Markley, David Markley, Reagan Cole, and Ethan Cole.
Caroline was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Tom Markley, and three brothers, William “Bill” Wilson, E.C. Wilson and John Wilson.
Caroline was a member of the Canton Area Concerned Citizens, the Arthritic Swim Club at the Canton YMCA. She was a lifelong farmer and loved to mow her lawn.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday September 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton where visitation will be held the night before, Monday September 17, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Fairview’
Memorials may be made out to the, Sierra Club, Fulton County Humane Society, or to the Sunset Manor Christmas Fund.
