Thelma
E. (Bolen) Walton Brown, 97, of Canton passed away at 1:35 PM,
Saturday, September 27, 2015 at Heartland Health Care Center in Canton,
Illinois. She was born on November 29, 1917 in Torch, Missouri to
Lindzy and Nancy Janie (Cozart) Bolen. Thelma first married Joseph D.
Walton and later married Wayne D. Brown. He preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, 6 brothers, and 3 sisters.
Surviving
is 2 children; Eddie (Donna) Walton and Deava Walton both of Canton, 6
grand children, 11 great grand children, 7 great-great-grandchildren, 1
sister-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
Private
services will be Saturday at White Chapel. Her grand children will be
pallbearers. Thelma loved her family and was an avid animal lover. Her
grandson Kenneth posted on facebook something I had not thought of but
now that he has done the thinking, I am going to steal it from him. I'm
sure he won't mind. Thelma enjoyed a long, full life, and has seen so
much. How's this; 17 presidents, 2 husbands, 2 world wars, Korean and
Vietnam wars, Hippies, bra burning, booze and pot being legal, then
illegal, and then legal again, The Great Depression, the list goes on
and on. Arrangements by Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home in Canton. To
