Canton – Darrell E. Edwards, 46, of Bloomington, formerly of Canton passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015, in Orlando Florida.
He was born on December 17, 1968 in Canton, to Kenneth and Carolyn (Hallmark) Edwards.
Surviving are his father of Canton, three brothers, Darrin (Amy) Edwards of Fairview, Randy (Bonnie) Edwards of Theodosia, MO., Michael Edwards of MO., one sister, Patty (JR) Hoffman of Canton, nieces and nephews, James, Michael, Ethan, Ali, Arriana, and Oliver Hoffman, Kaitlyn Edwards, Taylor Schrodt, Kourtney Hoffman, Hunter Hoffman, Shelby Hoffman, Christina Morrell, Randy Edwards Jr, Shona Worley.
He was preceded in death by his mother and sister Julie Hoffman.
Darrell graduated from Canton High School and played in the band. He worked for State Farm in Bloomington. He participated in the St Jude Children’s Hospital fundraisers, a supporter of the Humane Society of Central IL, an avid Peoria Rivermen and University of Michigan fan and enjoyed watching high school and college marching band competitions. He loved to vacation in Orlando Florida and photography especially of flowers and plants.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at 11 am, at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with a visitation from 9:30 am until time of service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Peoria Chapter.
