Cuba- Gene D. Baldock, 79, of rural Cuba passed away at 4:35 PM Tuesday September 15, 2015 at his home.
He was born March 28, 1936 at Canton the son of Joseph and Anna (Garret) Baldock. He married Marcia Taylor on May 3, 1959 at Lewistown. She survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Cindy Hezlep of Cuba, Daun (Jerry) Lillie of Lewistown, Teresa Fitch of Lewistown, and Tammy (Chris) Southwood of Astoria, one sister, Barbara (Eugene) Springer of Youngstown, OH; nine grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two infant granddaughters.
Gene retired from International Harvester in Canton with many years of service as a machine operator. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1959-1961. Gene was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and also enjoyed fishing.
Cremation will be accorded. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday September 19, 2015 at Apple Cemetery at rural Lewistown. A military service will be conducted at the cemetery by the Lewistown VFW Post 5001 and the Lewistown American Legion Post 1. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Canton Veterinary Clinic in Canton. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown is assisting the family with arrangements.
