Ray J. Isaacs, 73, of Lewistown, IL, passed away Sunday August 30, 2015, at Graham Hospital in Canton, IL. Ray was born in Canton, IL on October 31, 1941 to Ray Earl and Melba (Shepard) Isaacs.
He married Karen K. Lefler on October 8, 1960. She survives.
Also surviving are his daughter, Trina (Donald) Fahnders of Mishicot, WI, and his son, Travis (Karen) Isaacs of Tulsa, OK, and his granddaughter, Shelby Fahnders of Mishicot, WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ray served our country in the air force before becoming a forklift driver for International Harvester, but one of his favorite pastimes was music. He was a drummer and was a member of the America Federation of Musician in Peoria. Ray was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. He was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
Cremation has been accorded and Schmidt-Haller Burial and Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements. There will be a private burial of ashes at a later date.
Memorials can be made in Ray’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
