Donald R. Hibbetts

Liverpool - Donald Richard Hibbetts, 65, of Liverpool passed away Monday, September 21, 2015, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
He was born June 25, 1950, in Peoria to Harry and Della (LaMaster) Hibbetts.  He married Robin (Dodd) Edwards on August 21, 2002, in Gatlinburg, TN.  She survives.
Also surviving are his parents of Inverness, FL; two daughters, Jenett (Steve Rice) Charle of Peoria and Hilary (Benji Keime) Edwards of Lewistown; one son, Andrew (Misty McKenzie Beaird) Edwards of Liverpool; the apple of his eye, granddaughter MaKayla Keime, whom he adored; and furbabies Zoe, Louis, Pepper, and Lucky.  Also surviving are two brothers, Mike Hibbetts of Floral City, FL and Jerry (Kelly) Hibbetts of Inverness, FL; sister-in-law, Lori (Ed) Knowles of Liverpool; brother-in-law, Jacob (Kelly) Dodd of Roseville; nieces Chasey Hibbetts and Jayda Brown-Dodd; nephews Jeramy Hibbetts, Dustin Knowles, Kole Dodd, and Brody Dodd; and parents-in-law, Sherrill and Gene Wilcoxen of Liverpool and Ellen and Loyd Leon Dodd of Fiatt.
Donnie was a graduate of Manuel High School and served four years in the United States Navy aboard the USS Proteus.  Donnie worked at Keystone Steel and Wire Company in Bartonville for 47 years, retiring in June of 2015.  He enjoyed hunting with his friends and loved the camping and fishing trips he and Robin shared.  He felt an afternoon in the boat with Robin and Zoe at Mark Twain Lake or Duck Island was an absolutely perfect time.  He liked NASCAR and was a fan of Mark Martin.  He relished the trips to Daytona International Speedway he and Robin took every year.  Whether it was in a deer stand, the boat, the camper, or gathered around the table with family, Donnie appreciated the moments he shared with his family and friends.
Cremation rites have been accorded.  A Celebration of Life will be held at the Village Hall in Liverpool on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. with a bereavement dinner immediately following.  Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an education fund for his granddaughter MaKayla that has been established at Ipava State Bank.
