Sheryl "Sheri" Short

Sheryl “Sheri” Short, 73, of Norwood, passed away at 9:57 PM on Monday, July 31, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 15, 1949 in Pekin, IL to Ralph and Donna (Terrell) Spenny.

Sheri is survived by one son, Timothy (Stephanie) Spenny of Carlsbad, California; six grandchildren, Alaina and Olivia Johnson, Violet, Evelyn, Mason Spenny, and Charli Loomis; three brothers, Butch, Stacy, and Brian Spenny; and she was engaged to Rich Whitney at the time of her death. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Lain Johnson; and two brothers, Brett and Steve Spenny.

Sheri loved her grandkids. She enjoyed the beach, traveling with Rich, and spending time with her girlfriends. Sheri was a beloved member of the community, she worked as a paralegal, at the Peoria Courthouse and was the owner of popular bar/restaurants in Glasford and Kingston Mines.
