Wanda May Daniels, 73, of Havana passed away at 10:49 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at her home. She was born on April 2, 1949 in Huntsville, Illinois to Roy and Dollie (Phillips) Shoemaker. She married Michael L. Daniels on March 14, 1965 in Mt. Sterling. He preceded her in death on October 19, 2015.Wanda is survived by her children, David (Lydia Poler) Daniels, Barb (Jim) Kinzer, Rob (Maureen Courtney) Daniels, and Kathy (Brock) Brooks, all of Havana; grandchildren, Alex (Austin) Matheny, Abby Daniels, Kyle Kinzer, Cody (Liane) Kinzer, Kaylee Kinzer, Carissa (Jed) Vance, Ethan Scott, Dylan Valderrama, Dylan Daniels, Austin Courtney, Tony Courtney, Alex Little, Alexa Courtney, and Alyssa Courtney; and great-grandchildren, Isabelle Kinzer, Crew Matheny, and Riley Vance who is due in June. She is also survived by her siblings, Wilbur “Buster” Shoemaker of Chandlerville, Phyllis (John) Saunders of Ohio, and Keith (Deana) Shoemaker of Ohio and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Mikie Jay Daniels on December 27, 1968, and sisters, Shirley Lane, Charlotte Jobe, and Patty Seward.
Wanda was a member of the Kilbourne Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and cheering them on at events.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 26, 2022 at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Rev. Abraham Mogerman and Rev. Kevin Coleman will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.
