Glenna F. Parry

Glenna F. Parry, age 92 of Lewistown, Illinois, formerly of Astoria, passed away at 11:13 am on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at her daughter’s home in Lewistown. She was born on December 28, 1929 in Bluff City, Illinois, the daughter of Sherman S. “Shy” and Beulah F. (Belville) Palmer. On February 9, 1947, Glenna married Clifford Parry in Astoria. He preceded her in death on September 9, 2014.

She is survived by her two daughters, Cheryl Parsano and Tammy (and Anthony) Baldry, nine grandchildren; Sonya Parsano Duke, Lisa Parsano Rice, Eric Parsano, Sarah Baldry Stehl, Amber Baldry Dearing, Mark baldry, Heidi Hickle McDaniel, Jesse Hickle, and Ashley Ford Stringer, eighteen great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, two brothers, Larry Palmer and Jerry Palmer and her sister Eva Trone.

Glenna was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Palmer, Herbert Palmer and Allan Palmer and one sister, Dora Fox.

Glenna and her husband Cliff were owner and operator’s of Parry Saw Mill and Cliff’s Auto Parts store in Astoria.

Services will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Pastor Matthew Thiner will officiate. There will be no visitation. Interment will be held in the Astoria Cemetery. Memorials in Glenna’s memory may be made to the Astoria Christian Church.
