Junior D. Scott

Canton- Junior D. Scott 92, of Canton, passed away. Friday, December 9, 2022, at Red Oak Estates in Canton. He was born on August 6, 1930, in Middlegrove Illinois, to Charles W. Sr., and Jane (Humphrey) Scott. They preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death are two brothers, Charles W. Scott Jr., and Albert Scott, and two sisters, Betty Jane Warfield and Margaret Johnson. Junior married Elaine L. (Phalen) Scott one June 14, 1953, in Macomb. She preceded him in death in 2019. Surviving are two children, Connie (John) Reissen of Canton, and Bob (the late Debbie) Scott of Dunfermline, four grandchildren, Christina, Adam, Adrien and Austin, and four great grandchildren, Aliyah, Hailie, Adison and Greyson. Junior retired from Caterpillar in 1991. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Canton, the former Moose Lodge and the Elk's Lodge. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking and going dancing with his wife Elaine. Junior taught Sunday school at his church for several years and was previously a boy scout leader. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. Burial will take place at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton. Memorials may be made the First Baptist Church Food Pantry or to the St, Mary's Catholic Church Food Pantry.
