Surviving is her father Thomas of Michigan, one son, Nick (Melissa) Hines of Canton, two grandchildren Lucas Davis and Grayson Hines and many loving cousins, niece, and nephew.
She was preceded in death by her mother and one sister, Karen Hutson.
Joy enjoyed crossword puzzles and listening to music. Her true love of her life is spending time with family and friends and playing games with her grandkids.
Cremation rites have been accorded through Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., at Bethany Baptist Church in Peoria.
