Russell was the Labor Business Agent for Laborers Local 231 of Pekin, Illinois. He was President of the Retiree’s Council.
After retirement, Russell was active in the Schuyler County Coon Hunters. He loved helping young people and teaching them to hunt and fish. He lived to fish and hunt. Russell enjoyed riding mules and hunting off them. He loved his dogs and helping others, especially with their animals.
Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, Russell’s desire was that people “pay it forward”, helping someone in need, especially at this time of year. The most important thing is that people love one another.
