Arlene Rae Grisolano

Canton- Arlene Rae Grisolano, 82, of Canton, passed away at 11:20 PM on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Graham Hospital in Canton. She was born on March 26, 1940 in Canton, a daughter of Ernest and Grace (Bandy) Palmer. She married Cecil “Butch” Grisolano on May 5, 1962 in Canton. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1980.


Also preceding her in death is her parents, one sister, one granddaughter, and two great-granddaughters.


Surviving is her children, Gina (Tim) Schrodt of Canton; Cindy (Larry) Kruzan of Bryant; Ernest (Stacey) Grisolano of Canton; nine grandchildren, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Patricia Kruzan of Canton.


Over the years, Arlene owned and operated several restaurants/bars mostly in Texas and Illinois. She was of the Baptist faith, a member of the Fulton County Women’s Democratic party, and the red hat society.


A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory, where visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Wanda May Daniels

Wanda May Daniels, 73, of Havana passed away at 10:49 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at her home. She was born on April 2, 1949 in Huntsville, Illinois to Roy and Dollie (Phillips) Shoemaker. She married Michael L. Daniels on March 14, 1965 in Mt. Sterling. He preceded her in death on October 19, 2015.

Wanda is survived by her children, David (Lydia Poler) Daniels, Barb (Jim) Kinzer, Rob (Maureen Courtney) Daniels, and Kathy (Brock) Brooks, all of Havana; grandchildren, Alex (Austin) Matheny, Abby Daniels, Kyle Kinzer, Cody (Liane) Kinzer, Kaylee Kinzer, Carissa (Jed) Vance, Ethan Scott, Dylan Valderrama, Dylan Daniels, Austin Courtney, Tony Courtney, Alex Little, Alexa Courtney, and Alyssa Courtney; and great-grandchildren, Isabelle Kinzer, Crew Matheny, and Riley Vance who is due in June. She is also survived by her siblings, Wilbur “Buster” Shoemaker of Chandlerville, Phyllis (John) Saunders of Ohio, and Keith (Deana) Shoemaker of Ohio and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Mikie Jay Daniels on December 27, 1968, and sisters, Shirley Lane, Charlotte Jobe, and Patty Seward.
Wanda was a member of the Kilbourne Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and cheering them on at events.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 26, 2022 at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Rev. Abraham Mogerman and Rev. Kevin Coleman will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.

Donald "Bud" VanMiddlesworth

Canton - Donald "Bud" VanMiddlesworth, 90, of Canton, passed away at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Red Oak Estates in Canton.

He was born on January 2, 1932 in Breeds to Raymond and Ethel (Kleindinst) VanMiddlesworth.
He married Sharon Ball on February 16, 1957 in Canton. She preceded him in death on July 27, 2018.
Surviving are two sons, Tom (Monica) VanMiddlesworth and Tim (Christine David) VanMiddlesworth both of Canton, three grandchildren; Bryan (Amanda) Wolford, Craig (Semone) VanMiddlesworth, Megan (Travis) Rosich, six great-grandchildren; Ethan Rosich, Tannor Rosich, Koltin Rosich, Layla Jones, Alicyn VanMiddlesworth, Vince VanMiddlesworth, two brothers, Larry (Susie) Vanmiddlesworth, Robert (Thalia) Vanmiddlesworth, one sister, Connie (Francis) Williamson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Ronald "Sam", Charles, Gerald "Fuzzy" and Wayne "Henry" VanMiddlesworth.
Bud served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He retired from International Harvester/Navistar in 1989. He was a volunteer for the Banner Fire Department and served as an Orion Township Trustee. Most of all he loved his family and enjoyed telling stories of growing up in Breeds. He had a passion for farming and taking care of his cows and pets. During his wife's battle with Alzheimer's disease, he was her primary caregiver.
Services will be 2pm Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with a visitation one hour prior at the funeral home.
Burial with military honors will be held at the White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.

Jackie "Jack" E. Craig

Jackie "Jack" E. Craig, 87, of Elmwood, passed away at 5:36 a.m., on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born September 19, 1935, in Galesburg, IL, to Charles "Lester" and Matilda (Windish) Craig. He married Jean Yarde on August 19, 1961, in Nauvoo, IL. She survives.
He is also survived by one son, Drew (Donna) Craig of Dunlap; three grandchildren, Brendon (Danielle) Craig, Alex Wilson, and Madeline Craig; two great-grandchildren, Charlie and Livia Craig; and nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Charles "Walter" Craig and Donald Craig.
Jack was a veteran of the United States Army.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services.

Linda R. Christensen

Linda R. Christensen, 76 of Springfield, IL passed away on December 11, 2022, in Menard County. She was born on June 17, 1946 in Effingham, IL to Burl and Jean (Cihak) Mitchell. Linda married David Christensen On December 16, 1967 in Effingham, IL.

Linda is survived by her husband David; two daughters, Kari (Brendan) Murphy of Leesburg, VA and Erin (Sam) Clayton of Morton, IL; four grandchildren, William and Daniel Murphy, and Coraline and Stella Clayton; a cousin, Martin Moore of OH; and sister-in-law, Susan Christensen of Springfield. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her son, James “Jay” Christensen, her mother and father-in-law and her aunt, Arlene Moore.
Linda was a member of the Petersburg United Methodist Church. She taught elementary school in the PORTA School District for 34 years before her retirement. Linda was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother, a very loyal friend and a beloved teacher. She wrote notes of encouragement to others at just the right time using the perfect words. The highlight of her week was joining her retired teacher friends at coffee group and also when the birthday group gathered. Linda was an avid reader, loved musical theatre and retail therapy and of course spoiled her grandchildren well and often. A plaque that hangs on one of her home’s walls reads “Petersburg is my heart’s home.”
A visitation will be held for Linda on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the Petersburg United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. with an additional visitation at 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Rev. Rick Pierce will officiate. Paul H. Reissen

London Mills - Paul H. Reissen, 58, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at his residence.

He was born on June 7, 1964 in Canton to John and Margaret (Fiedler) Reissen Sr. They preceded him in death along with one brother, Jim.
Surviving are two children, Dillon Reissen of Trivoli, Samantha Reissen of Key West, FL, two brothers, John Reissen Jr of Canton, Bob Reissen of Canton and six sisters, Margaret Harmon of MO, Clara Johnson of Morton, Catherine Sizek of Norris, Carolyn Herrick of Dunfermline, Rose Smith of East Peoria and Norma Williams of FL.
Paul served in the U.S. Army. He worked for ADM in Peoria and lastly in Bushnell. He was a member of the Twisted Breed Motorcycle Club in Fulton County.
Cremation rites will be accorded, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Rose A. Lutz

Vermont - Rose A. Lutz, 83, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at her residence.

She was born on May 19, 1939 in Peoria to Virgil and Ella (Martin) Hornsby. They preceded her in death.
She married Donald Ray Lutz Sr on August 5, 1975. He preceded her in death on February 28, 2016.
Surviving is her son Donald (Merchelle) Lutz Jr of Vermont, two brothers, Bobby Hornsby of WI, Jack Hornsby of Creve Coeur, three, grandchildren, Bradly Lutz, Ella Lutz, Roger (Rori) Lutz, three great grandchildren, Payton, Korbin, Braxton and several nieces and nephews.
Also preceding her in death is four brothers and five sisters.
Rose worked as a nurse's aide and later in housekeeping at the Holiday Inn in Macomb which became the Days Inn. She loved the outdoors and sunbathing in her birthday suit. She also enjoyed to travel and visit the casinos. Rose was very proud of the people she meet during her life including, Buck Owens, Aaron Tippin and Willie Nelson.
Cremation rites have been accorded by the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton. There will be no services per her wishes.

Donna W. McCoy

Donna W. McCoy Thompson, 84, of Havana passed away at 12:37 p.m. at her home on Monday, December 19, 2022. She was born on March 26, 1938 in Saidora to Richard and Lieura (Lippert) Friend. She married Gerald McCoy, who preceded her in death. She later married Ron Thompson and he also preceded her in death.

Donna is survived by her children, Kimberly McCoy of Havana, Roger McCoy of Lincoln, and Brad (Nance) McCoy of Mississippi; grandchildren, Jenna McGahan of Tusla, Oklahoma, Madison Oyer of Bloomington, Garrett McCoy of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Calvin (Andrea) McCoy; great-grandchildren, Gage, Leigh, and Colby McGahan and Elija Oyer; and siblings, Earla Blessman in Bath, Duane Friend of Jacksonville, and Arveda Pence of Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, brother, David Friend, and grandson, Josh McCoy.
Donna enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, and antiquing.

Ruth Alberta Thomson Walker

Ruth Alberta Thomson Walker, 94, of Canton, passed away at 3:10 AM on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Graham Hospital in Canton, IL. She was born on August 22, 1928 in Galva, IL to Willard L. and Helen L. (Waters) Thomson. She married Jack Walker on January 31, 1954 at the Galva Congregational Church in Galva, IL. He survives.


Ruth is also survived by two children, Mitchell (Samantha) Walker of Gladbrook, IA, and Shelley (Dave) Henderson of Lenexa, KS; four grandchildren, Robert Walker, Liam Walker, Ashley (Aaron) Berkley and David Henderson; one great-grandchild, Lennon Grace; one brother, Willard P. Thomson; one sister, Margaret “Midge” Eaton; and several nieces and nephews.


She is preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Tom Thomson.


Ruth worked and retired after 18 years as a school teacher in Lewistown and Canton, IL. She was a past state president of Lamda Chi Omega. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Canton, IL. Ruth loved collecting antiques, traveling and going on snowmobile trips. She also enjoyed tennis and golfing.


A visitation will be held from 10 AM – 11 AM on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Canton, IL. Memorial Service will be held the same day at 11:00 AM at the church. Ravfe D. Allard

Fiatt - Ravfe D. Allard, 54, of Fiatt, passed away at 9:15 am, Sunday, December 18, 2022 at his residence. He was born on September 11, 1968 in Canton to Larry A. and Patricia "Pat" (Bishop) Allard. Ravfe married Anna M. Smith on November 21, 2016 in Canton. She survives along with his mother, four children; Keith (Alaira) Allard of Canton, Jessica VanDyke and Russell VanDyke both of Fiatt and Erik Knott of Peoria, two brothers; John Allard of Cuba and Bobby Allard of Farmington, three sisters; Sheila Shawgo and Dawn Uryasz both of Fairview and Larri Ann Daugherty of Bakersfield, MO and six grandchildren with one more on the way.

Ravfe was preceded in death by his father, brother Bret Allard and sister Sue Wilson.
He worked as a truck driver for 36 years and was a member of Mid-West Truckers Association. Ravfe loved Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, Sunday morning oldies with his coffee, camping, fishing, hunting and anything to do with family and friends with a cold beer in hand. He also loved his dogs; Saki, Zues and Mossy.

Laverne M. German

Laverne M. German, of Farmington, formerly of Yates City, passed away at 8:38 a.m., on Friday, December 16, 2022, at Farmington Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on January 19, 1924, in Virden, IL, to William and Mary (Harris) Stockham. She married John "Bernard" German on February 1, 1947, in Brimfield. He preceded her in death on July 14, 2003.

She is survived by three children, Sandy (Don) Peckham of Farmington, Ben (Terri) German of Yates City, and Tim (Steph) German of Maitland, FL; one daughter-in-law, Jill German; nine grandchildren, Chris Peckham, Carma Peckham, Amy Wright, Nick German, Bobby German, Bo German, Bret German, Brooke Skaggs, and Allie Ost; nineteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She is also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Dan German; two brothers, Bill Stockham and Bob Stockham; and three grandchildren.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at the Yates City Community Center.

Karen A. Smith

Karen Annette Smith, 70, of Havana, originally of Eagle River, WI passed away at Graham Hospital at 8:12 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2022. She was born on October 18, 1952 in Rhinelander, WI to Harold and Joan (Thieme) Novack. She married Craig A. Smith in 1979 in Eagle River, WI.

Karen is survived by her husband Craig, her son, Randy (Denise) Smith of Havana, IL; her grandchildren, Owen, Evylen, and Alaina Smith; her siblings, Janet (Roger) Griinke of Woodruff, WI, Christine Novack of Eagle River, WI and Paul (Dawn) Novack of Eagle River, WI; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Joan Novack.
Karen most cherished her grandchildren, and the time she spent with them. Karen also loved her two golden retrievers, Goldie and Chipper. She loved the outdoors, especially vegetable and flower gardening, hiking, crappie fishing, snowshoeing and making maple syrup with her husband, Craig. Karen was also an avid reader, being a member of several book clubs. Karen enjoyed crocheting and traveling to the Caribbean and other warm locales as well.
Karen worked for many years in the clerical departments of several clinics and hospitals. She put in many hours over the years dedicated to her work and volunteered for the Red Cross in her free time and in retirement. Karen always made sure everyone had what they needed whether that was a hug, a full belly or support during a time of need.
A memorial visitation for Karen will take place on January 4th, 2023 from 2p.m - 4p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana, IL. A celebration of life will also take place in Sugar Camp Town Hall in Rhinelander, WI on May 20th, 2023.

Robert "Bobby" Lowder, Jr.

 

Dunfermline-Robert "Bobby" Lowder Jr, 69, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Richard Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
He was born on February 12, 1953 in Canton to Robert and Hilda (Williams) Lowder Sr.
He married Mary Jo Windsor on January 28, 2001 in Canton. She preceded him in death on December 2, 2013.
Surviving is his mother, Hilda Murphy of Canton, children, Bonnie (Rick) Mullikin of Florida, Melinda (Jon) Martin of Quad Cities, Robert (Mandi) Lowder III of Quad Cities, Renee (Steve) Rodgers of Quad Cities, Nichole Lowder of Canton, sisters, Brenda (Late Bob) Smith, Patricia (Mike) Rynd, Vonda (Late Mike) Caballero, Lisa (Bob) Konczak, Kathleen Murphy, Sonja (Randy) Whitehurst, Debbie (Steve Cape) Kohl, brothers, Paul (Jodi Adams) Cameron, Lester (Mary) Murphy Jr, Chuckie (Kim) Varnes, twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one on the way. Also surviving are several cousins, nieces and nephews and one special cousin, Bill Lowder.
He was preceded in death by his father and step mother, Robert and Vivian Lowder, step father, Lester Murphy Sr, two sisters, Linda and Karen Lowder and his rottweilers, Hard Rock and Chopper.
Bobby was a motorcycle enthusiast and a lifetime member of A.B.A.T.E. He was an electronics technician for Dago's Pinball. He was intelligent and gifted with a talent for repairing machines, cars and all mechanical equipment.
Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 23, 2022 at Noon at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton with a visitation held one hour prior at the funeral home. The family requests everyone wear casual attire.
Burial will follow at the Summum Cemetery in Summum.

Kevin L. Shawgo

Fairview - Kevin L. Shawgo, 64, of Fairview, passed away, Saturday, December 17, 2022, at the Loft Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Canton.

He was born on May 9, 1958, to Charles Shawgo, and Carmen (Lehman) Weber, his father preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila (Allard) Shawgo, whom he married on April 20, 2013, in Elmwood.
Also surviving are his mother, Carmen, five stepchildren, Kentricia (Kyle) Allard, Chelsie (Dalton) Allard, Carrie Scalf, Curtis (Kristen) Mahr, and Kacie (David) Scalf, one brother, Brian (Janice) Shawgo, one sister, Cynthia (Randy) Myers, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Kevin was a truck driver for his entire life. Most recently he worked for Hicksgas in Canton. He loved listening to classic country music and ZZ top. He was a member of the previous Fulton County Saddle Club. He also enjoyed riding horses, and motorcycles as well as going camping. Most of all Kevin loved spending time with his friends and family.
Cremation rites will be accorded, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Clarice Nadine Manus

Clarice “Nadine” (Moore) Harvey Manus age 90 of Mason City, passed away

quietly on December 16, 2022. She was born to Bryan and Allie May (Robinson)
Moore on December 21, 1931 in Galesburg, IL. She married Gene Hardin Harvey
of Toulon, IL on February 12, 1950 in Galesburg, IL. He preceded her in death on
August 30, 2003. Later she married Carlyle Manus of San Jose, IL on January 14,
2006 who also preceded her in death on July 7, 2009.
Eight children were born to Gene and Nadine including Linda Jo Ann Howell (Ron)
of Lincoln, Ronald Gene Harvey of Mason City, Barbara Diane Cardenas (Tim) of
Riverton, WY, Michael Bryan Harvey (deceased), Anthony Dell Harvey (deceased),
Timothy Michael Harvey (Lisa) of Mason City, Pamela Suzanne Babbs (Bobby) of
Greenview and Donna Rosanne Harvey (Brian) of Paw Paw. She was also blessed
with seventeen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and four great-great
grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were her parents, two sisters and a
son-in-law.
Nadine was first and foremost a wife, mother and grandma with her and Gene
making their living in agriculture. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers,
reading, painting, sewing and knitting. She was involved in both the Mason
County and Logan County Pork Producers, the San Jose Lions Club, the United
Methodist Women and many other ministries in her church.
Services for Nadine will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the San Jose United
Methodist Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM and the funeral following at 11:00 AM.

Russell P. Erbaugh

Russell P. Erbaugh, age 91 of Havana, Illinois, passed away at 8:06 pm on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at his home. He was born on February 25, 1931 in Logansport, Indiana, the son of Daniel and Etta (Genseal) Erbaugh. He was raised by his grandparents, James and Catherine (Genseal) Kitson. Both his parents and grandparents preceded him in death. Russell met Doris Wikoff and they spent 56 years together, marrying on September 19, 1975 in Peoria, Illinois. She survives.


Russell is also survived by two daughters, Debbie Haley of Kingston, Illinois and Kymberly Dykstra of Omaha, Nebraska, Derek (and Amy) Nichols and Rachel Bucher, both of Pekin, Illinois who were like his own children, five grandchildren; Jennifer (and Dave) Daniel of Hastings, Michigan, Katie (and Montiel Johnson) Haley of Kingston, Illinois, T.J. (and Jessica) Haley of Belvidere, Illinois, Brittany (and Jason) Marshall of Omaha, Nebraska and Taylor Dykstra of Florida, twelve great-grandchildren; Marcus, Drake and Elle Johnson, Caleb and Mason Daniel, Reese and Forest Haley, Addye and Emma Marshall, and Hunter, Ivey and Drew Nichols.

He was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Erbaugh.

Russell was the Labor Business Agent for Laborers Local 231 of Pekin, Illinois. He was President of the Retiree’s Council.

After retirement, Russell was active in the Schuyler County Coon Hunters. He loved helping young people and teaching them to hunt and fish. He lived to fish and hunt. Russell enjoyed riding mules and hunting off them. He loved his dogs and helping others, especially with their animals.

Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, Russell’s desire was that people “pay it forward”, helping someone in need, especially at this time of year. The most important thing is that people love one another.

Todd D. Sepich

Todd Donovan Sepich, 53, passed away in his sleep, on December 16, 2022 at his home in St. David following a lengthy illness. He was born in Canton on September 20, 1969 to Philip and Krista (Reed) Sepich.


He married Deena Marinich on May 1, 1992.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents Donald and Phyllis Sepich, Willis and Mary Virginia Brown, Aunt Leslie (Sepich) Barnard and his beloved dog Joe Buck.

He is survived by his parents, his sister Heather Beaty, nephews Cody and Connor, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Also surviving are his estranged wife, stepchildren Brianne (Jack) Doyle, Vanessa (David) Vandermeer, Jordan Marinich, three grandchildren, his long time close friend Joey and too many other friends to list.

Todd graduated from Canton High School in 1987 and attended Spoon River College on a golf scholarship. He worked as a Regional Manager for Star Transport from 1991 to 2013. From 2013 to 2018 he was a Customer Service Rep for Swift Transportation and from 2018 to 2022 as Shipping Manager for Black Crow Candle Co.

Todd was a highly intelligent man with a kind and gentle heart. He loved his pets and spending time with nature, which included mushrooming, fishing and camping. He had a passion for Rock'n Roll and Blues along with a deep knowledge of the artists. We will miss his quick wit and his "I Love You's".

Marilyn J. Jolly

Marilyn J. Jolly, 89, of Oshkosh, WI, passed away December 10, 2022, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh, WI. She was born in Brimfield Township, IL, on October 27, 1933, to Ralph and Marie (Terry) McKown, the youngest of three children.

She attended the public schools of Elmwood, IL and while attending Elmwood High School, was a member of D.A.R., F.H.A., G.A.A., and was actively involved in plays and cheerleading.
With a business degree from Brown's School of Business, she began her career in the Traffic Division at Caterpillar Tractor in Peoria. She worked for several companies in the Chicago area before ending her work career as a claims assistant with Aetna Life & Casualty in Lisle, IL.
After moving from Peoria, IL, Marilyn resided fifty years in Downers Grove, IL, with a final move to Wisconsin two years ago.
Marilyn enthusiastically supported her children's and grandchildren's school activities. She enjoyed summer trips with family to Wisconsin's northwoods for 40 years. She loved spending time with family and could always be found smiling and laughing. Marilyn's family meant the world to her.
She is survived by two children, Leslie (Robert) Plumb of Grand Chute, WI, and Laurel (Richard) Jolly-McCarthy of Naperville, IL; three grandchildren, Kari (Michael) Scharff, Kristen Plumb, and Kyle (Candice) Plumb; six great-grandchildren, Ethan, Kate, Emily, Elizabeth, Scott and Hope; and three nieces and one nephew.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Donald McKown; and her sister, Dorothy Risen.
A graveside service for family will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Elmwood Township Cemetery.

Wilma Luella Hasty

Wilma L. Hasty, 81 of Manito, passed away at her residence early Thursday morning, December 15, 2022.

She was born June 8, 1941 in Pekin, Il, to the late Huston L. and Luella Bartels Richardson. She was married to William “Bill” Hasty, until his death February 1, 2002.
Wilma worked for many years at the Country General Store in Manito. She loved laughing, reading, playing euchre, and especially her family. She dearly loved and missed her husband Bill, and everyone that knew her, knows she is happy to be back with him in Heaven.
Surviving are her two daughters, Julie (Barry) Oest, of Topeka and Wilma Hasty, of Pekin, two sons, William Hasty, of Manito, and Wayne (Michelle) Hasty, of Manito, three grandchildren, Samantha Hasty, Travis Hasty and Tyler Hasty, as well as three great-grandchildren and a fourth on the way.
Cremation Rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life is planned at a later date.
Memorials may be made in honor of Wilma to the Tazewell Animal Protective Society in Pekin.

Randy Deushane

Jack R. “Randy” Deushane, 68, of rural Lewistown, passed away at 6:42 PM Friday December 9, 2022 at OSF St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Bloomington.


He was born September 14, 1954 at Canton, the son of Vilas J. and Anna Rose (Lidwell) Deushane. He married Mary R. Crowell on December 20, 1980 at Armington. She survives with two children, Daran (Alyssa) Deushane of Glasford, and Deanna “Dee” (Jason Stambaugh) Deushane of Astoria, four grandchildren, Carlee Belless, Josie Stambaugh, Oliver Deushane, and Lucy Deushane, and one brother, Dewey (Patty) Deushane of Canton. He was preceded in death by his parents.


Randy was a 1973 graduate of Cuba High School, and a graduate of Eureka College. He worked at MSD from 1995-2005 and was a member of Laborers Local 231 of Pekin. He and his wife have worked avidly together raising crops, livestock, goats and cattle on their farm. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren, and mingling with the goats and cows. His favorite pastime was driving his Pioneer side by side cruising around the neighborhood.


Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday December 16, 2022 at Henry-Lange Memorial Home where visitation will be held 2 hours prior to services. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery at rural Lewistown. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity of the Donor’s choice. Kathy Ann King

Canton- Kathy Ann King, 67, of Canton, passed away at 12:15 PM on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Renaissance Care Center in Canton, IL. She was born on September 18, 1955 to Edward and Thelma (Hartline) Rowe. Kathy married Daniel L. King on June 10, 1972, at the First Christian Church in Canton, IL. He survives.


Also surviving are her two children, Amber (Steve) Petty and Bart (Jenny) King; her five grandchildren, Emilee Petty, Ellyn Petty, Drew Petty, Harriett King, and Bernadette King; one brother, Eugene (Brenda) Rowe; and two sisters, Phyllis Hadsall and Diana Rowe.


Preceding her in death were both parents; and her beloved dog Santo.


Kathy worked for Bell Telephone for many years. She was a loving wife and mother, endlessly supportive and encouraging.She loved being a grandma. Kathy was always an active and empathetic listener, a skilled and industrious artisan, and one who loved and closely bonded with animals. Kathy was also sensitive to the plight of others. She will be missed by all whose lives she had touched. Suddenly 67 years feels so short.
