Farmington- Susan Riccioni, 75, of Farmington, passed away surrounded by her immediate family at 8:30 PM on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at her residence. She was born on June 13, 1946 in Canton, a daughter of Thomas C. and Virginia (Picton) Wilson. She married Richard Riccioni on August 15, 1964 in Farmington. He survives.
Also surviving are her children, Gina (Scott) Voice of Farmington, Rick (Ann) Riccioni of Farmington; five grandchildren, Stephanie (Joel) Hill, Spencer Henderson, Jordan (Molly) Painter, Hunter Henderson, Erica Riccioni, and two great-grandchildren, Beau and Josie Hill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Betty Ann Stookey.
Susan graduated from Farmington High School in 1964, and later started working as a part-time secretary of transfer of facility, and later went to full-time secretary dean of transfer and occupational facility, where she retired on January 29, 1999 after 24 years of service to Spoon River College. She was of the Catholic Faith, member of the Canton Garden Club, as she enjoyed her flower beds, hummingbirds, and playing cards with the ladies of her card club. But most of all, she was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother to her beloved grandchildren, whom she truly enjoyed being with.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, where visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Burial will follow the services at Oakridge Cemetery in Farmington. Memorials can be made to the Farmington Rescue Squad 1100.
