Edna M. Miller, 100, of Rushville, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Apostolic Christian Restmor Care Center in Morton, IL. She was born on November 13, 1921 at the family home near Browning, IL, the daughter of Lossie and Lula (Gibson) Bollinger. Edna married David E. Miller on February 21, 1942. David preceded Edna in death on February 16, 2012.
Edna was a farm wife and active in her community as a 4-H Leader, and a member of Schuyler County Home Extension. She was an active member of the Bader Christian Church.
Also preceding her in death are her parents, brother, Virgil Bollinger, 5 sisters, Donna Wehmeier, Hermenia Egbert, Inez Egbert, Betty Riebling and Marilyn Orwig, and son-in-law, Cecil Davis.
Survivors are one son, Roger (and Billie) Miller of Polk City, IA, 2 daughters, Kathleen (and Ronald) Schoenfelder of Bradenton, FL and Sally Davis of East Peoria, IL, 5 grandchildren; Melanie (and Larry) Ellis of Hardesty, OK, Mike (and Brooke) Miller of Clive, IA, Will (and Jessica) Miller of Canon City, CO, Sarah (and Darren) Schoenfelder of Raton, New Mexico, and Emily Schoenfelder of Morton, IL, 8 great-grandchildren, Colter and Lily Ellis, Charlotte, Gage, Reid and Greyson Miller, and Evan and Ivy Miller.
Services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, IL with Brother Matt Haberman officiating. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Mud Valley Cemetery with Elder Melvin Mohler officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be mailed to the Bader Christian Church, c/o Mary Ann Baker, Superintendent, PO Box 272, Astoria, IL 61501 or the Mud Valley Church, C/O Gordon Miller, Trustee, 13486 Hell Ridge Road, Browning, IL 62624.
