Our family and community lost a pillar on Monday, February 15, 2021 when Deborah L. Love (favorably known as Debie) passed away after a long fight with cancer.Debie was born Sept 18, 1954 in Eldorado, IL to Philip Hughey and Dorthy Hughey (Gill). She went on to become an RN at St. Johns Hospital for 18 years. She then moved on to become the nurse for the PORTA School District for 15 years. She loved her part in the community, including coaching the junior bowling league in Petersburg for over ten years, and later coaching the high school Pom-Pom squad for 10 years. Debie enjoyed reading, being with her family, traveling through the mountains, and playing all the games with her grandchildren.
Debie is predeceased by her parents, her brother Ambrose (Bob) Hughey, and her brother Stephen Hughey.
Debie is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, David Love, her son Jonathan (Rebecca) Love of Laurel MT, her daughter Sarah Love-Martin (Steve Martin) of Belleville IL, her son Jordan (Dustine) Love of Athens IL, her sister Phyllis Hargis, her sister Natasha Lynn (David) Lies, her sister Karen (Richard) Friesen, and her grandchildren Addison Love, Kara Love, Jackson Martin, Kurdtis Howard, and Josie Love. Debie will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

and it's what we will all remember about Debie. Through her wisdom, her humor, and her kindness, she gave everything she could to those she loved.

Edward Allen Lidwell
Canton- Edward Allen Lidwell, 79, of Bryant, passed away at 4:27 PM on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was born on July 18, 1942 in Canton, a son of William George and Sybil Margaret (Powell) Lidwell. He first married Shirley Mooney of Farmington, and later married Donna Courtney.
Edward is survived by, five daughters: Lori (Bret) Schneider of Lake Thunderbird, IL, Lynda Dunn of Hanna City, Lesli (James) Knight of Florida, Loni (Steve) King of Hillsdale, IL, Kem (Dallas) Richardson of Lewistown; one son, Courtney (Ashley) Lidwell of Breeds; 13 grandchildren: Amanda, Clay, Cody, Austin, Alyson, Cole, Zachary, Krista, Kaley, Emerson, Gus, Ahnna, Harlo, and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by both parents, one infant son, William G. Lidwell; one brother, William Lidwell, one sister, Judy Ellsworth, and his lifelong friend Larry Simpson.
Edward worked and retired from the United Mine Coal Company as a Drag Liner. He loved people and riding in his car to go see friends and family. He was an avid fisherman, and extremely proud of his family.

Robert D. Arnett
Cuba—Robert “Bob” Dale Arnett died on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born on June 6, 1942, in Belleville, Illinois, to Richard and Ethel Arnett. He grew up in a military family, graduating high school in Germany and working for the European Exchange System before returning to the United States. In 1962, Bob enlisted in the United States Army, training and serving as a medical technician who specialized in trauma patient care and psychiatric care. Bob was honorably discharged in 1967. Later, Bob worked in a number of fields, including as an electrician’s helper at Hatfield Electric Company in Chicago and as medical technician in the respiratory disease department at the State of Illinois Department of Corrections in Pontiac. Most recently, Bob retired from PIPCO in Peoria as a warehouse manager after 25 years of employment.Bob married Norma Dorne in 1970, and together they had three children: Robert “Bobby” (Sarah) Arnett of Cuba; Michael (Holly) Arnett of Lewistown; and Vickie (Kevin) Everly of Prophetstown, IL. “Pops,” as he was affectionally known by his family, was also blessed with eight grandchildren: Payton Arnett, Madison Draughn, and Sadie Arnett; Cody (Addy Rian), Samuel, and Joshua Arnett; and Benjamin and Mira Reneau. In addition to his children and grandchildren, Pops is survived by his sisters, Pamela (Tim) Bink of Cuba and Sharon Ladd of Lewistown, as well as many friends and neighbors.
Although Pops was a hard worker and a jack of all trades, he was best known for his leisurely pursuits. He was an IHSA softball official, an amateur and professional boxing official, a boxing coach, a hunter, and an avid participant in bass fishing tournaments. Most of all, Pops loved spending the day on the water with his children and grandchildren, passing along his love of fishing and the outdoors.
A memorial service will be held at Cuba Christian Church on Monday, June 6, at 4:30, which is also Bob’s birthday, with his son, Pastor Mike Arnett, officiating. Interment will follow at Cuba Cemetery with military rites accorded. Afterwards, a dinner will be held at the Cuba Legion. Gayle Sipes
Our family shares with great sadness that on Sunday, May 22, 2022, Gayle E. Sipes, 73, passed away after his decades' long battle with illnesses related to Agent Orange exposure during his time as an Airmen for the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Gayle is the proud son of Vern E. and Faye E. (Roberts) Sipes of Canton.He married Kathleen "Cathi" (Hilliard) on June 15, 1968 in Morton; they were married for 53 years.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Cathi; mother, Faye; two daughters, Kimberly (Martin) Faines of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Karrah (Major Matthew) Martin of Monument, Colorado; one brother, Richard "Rick" (Brenda) Sipes of Groveland, Illinois; and seven grandchildren, Greyson, Hayden and Cooper Owens all of Charlotte, North Carolina and Kathryn, Andrew, Allisyn, and Madelyn Martin all of Monument, Colorado.
Preceding him in death are his father, Vern, and his in-laws, Gwen and Jim Hilliard.
Born in Canton, Gayle was awarded the Eagle Scout by the Boy Scouts of America and was a graduate of Canton Senior High School, Class of 1966. He earned an Associates' degree from Spoon River College and was a member of Sigma Iota Nu Fraternity. Gayle was a Freemason (member of the Schiller Lodge, #0335), a former president of the Society of Industrial Engineers, and a member of the Peoria Transportation Club.
Gayle was most proud of his family, but also his long history of hard work. He started his career at Keystone Steel and Wire in Bartonville and finished at Caterpillar in Morton. An advocate for democracy and voters' rights, he volunteered for decades as an election judge. A dedicated hobbyist and avid collector, he was especially fond of Harley Davison Motorcycles, dirt track racing, his shot glass and watch collections, the ever-struggling Chicago Bears, and anything music and movies.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. Visitation will be held one-hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Immediately following the services, military honors will be rendered at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.

Canton- Frances J. Scalf, 91, of Canton, passed away at 3:35 AM on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Graham Hospital in Canton. She was born on August 25, 1930 in Delevan, IL a daughter of Jacob and Alice (Fisher) Martin. She married the love of her life, Robert Scalf on July 3, 1948 He preceded her in death on November 3, 1987.
Frances is survived by one daughter: Valerie (Bill) Pogeman of Fort Worth, TX, three grandchildren: Bill Pogeman Jr of Lake Worth, TX, Eric Pogeman of Haltom City, TX, and Mike Anderson of Canton, IL, one great-grand-child: Jace (Mattie) Anderson of Springfield, IL, one sister; Darlene Spiesz of Pekin, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

Patricia Weber
Patricia Weber, 89, of Canton, passed away, Friday, May 20, 2022, at Graham hospital in Canton.
She was born on October 30, 1932, to Floyd "Doc" and Mabryn (Harding) Varner. They preceded her in death.
She married William "Bill" Weber on October 25, 1974, in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on October 22, 2019.Surviving are four children, Jeff (Lisa) Rose of Peoria, Judy Blagden of Pekin, Greg (Stacie) Rose of Pekin and Renee (Jim) Gage of Canton, one brother, John (Sharon) Varner of Knoxville, two sisters, Marlene Dickenson of North Carolina, and Shan (John) Corelis of Port Byron Illinois, nine grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death is one daughter, Pamela Rose and one sister Margo Varner.
Pat and the love of her life her husband Bill lived a number of years in Peoria before returning home to Bushnell to retire and play. In recent years Pat and Bill relocated to Canton to be closer to family.
Pat enjoyed art and painting, civil war history, floral designing, strumming her guitar and playing her piano. Both she and her husband Bill were avid birders and active members of
the Western Prairie Audubon Chapter of the Illinois Audubon Society. Patricia will be greatly missed.

MASON CITY, IL – Phyllis (Wasilewski) Kneedler, 93, went home to meet her Lord on May 20, 2022 at the Villas West in Sherman IL with the loving care of her family, staff and hospice.
Phyllis is survived by three daughters: Carol Kneedler of Springfield, Mari Whitney (Richard) of Mason City, and Cathy Hobart (Doug Nicodemus) of Riverton; three siblings: John (Joan) Wasilewski, Larry Wasilewski, and Mary Wells. She adored her seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank in 2011 and by parents Stanley and Mary Wasilewski and siblings Robert “Tommy” Wasilewski, James Wasilewski, Winnie Tobias Downey and Carol Baugher.
She was born September 20, 1928 in Athens, IL, the daughter of Stanley and Mary (Brackhan) Wasilewski. Phyllis married Francis Albert Kneedler on January 21, 1949 in Athens, IL. She was an executive of Illinois Bell Telephone, later AT&T, for 35 years, retiring in 1983. She was active in her community: serving on the Mason City Library Board, the Community Choir, and the Mason City Women’s Investment Club. She was a member of the Illinois and Emiquon Audubon Societies. She volunteered at the Mason City Area Nursing Home, Illini Central Grade School, Community VBS, and was active in both the Christian and the Assembly of God Churches. She loved her family, gardening, birding, reading, and Jesus. She thought the best of people and treated everyone as a person of value.
Memorial Services will be at 11am, Monday, May 30 at the Mason City Assembly of God church in Mason City, IL, with visitation from 10-11am. Morton- Susan M. Henderson, 42, of Morton, passed away at 11:50 PM on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 15, 1979 in Pekin, a daughter of Kenneth and Monica (Craig) Garner. She married Kevin Henderson on April 29, 2000 in San Jose, Illinois. He survives.
Also surviving is her mother, Monica of Delavan; one brother Keith A. Garner of Delavan, her mother-in-law, Mary Henderson of Morton, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Kenneth, maternal and paternal grandparents, and her father-in-law, Jack Henderson.
Susan was a member, a junior church leader, and in the choir, at the Bible Baptist Church in Bartonville, she enjoyed reading, knitting, working on diamond paintings, and singing with her husband, Kevin. Her favorite and life verse was Hebrews 12:1.

She is survived by her husband, Verne M. Liddle, whom she married on February 17, 1962 at the First Baptist Church in Canton.
Also surviving are two children, Pamela L. (Heriberto) Espindola of Troy, Illinois, and Patricia B. (Troy) Stanton of St. Charles, Illinois, two granddaughters, Mackenzie G. Stanton and Reagan E. Stanton, and one sister Karen S. (Bob) Atwater of Lewistown.
Bev graduated from Lewistown High School in 1959. After high school, she worked at International Harvester in Canton as a secretary in the parts department where she met her husband Verne. She later stayed home to raise her daughters. She then worked for 29 years for J.C. Penny in Canton where she was the supervisor the store catalog department.
Bev was a member of the Illinois Street Christian Church in Lewistown. She enjoyed going to the library and reading countless books. She was an excellent cook, and had a very strong sweet tooth, especially for the lemon flavors. Bev was well known for her Christmas caramels and numerous other recipes for all occasions. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service, 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Helen W. Waughtel
Helen M. Waughtel, 83, of Canton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 20, 2022, at her residence.She was born March 2, 1939, in Tinley Park, to Russell and Ruth (Brewer) Bettehnhausen.
She is survived by two children, Thomas (Linda) Raley of Milwaukee, WI, and Suzette Waughtel of Canton; two brothers, Larry (Vera) Betthenhausen and Roscoe (the late Eileen) Bettenhausen; one sister, Claudette (the late Owen) Bosard; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Roger Boothe; and two brothers, Russell Betthenhausen, Jr., and Benjamin (the late Pamela) Bettenhausen.
Helen was a beautician for over 20 years. She also had a strong Christian faith and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two children, Thomas (Linda) Raley of Milwaukee, WI, and Suzette Waughtel of Canton; two brothers, Larry (Vera) Betthenhausen and Roscoe (the late Eileen) Bettenhausen; one sister, Claudette (the late Owen) Bosard; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Roger Boothe; and two brothers, Russell Betthenhausen, Jr., and Benjamin (the late Pamela) Bettenhausen.
Helen was a beautician for over 20 years. She also had a strong Christian faith and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Lewistown- Norma E. Brooks, 92, of Lewistown passed away at 3:26 PM Wednesday May 18, 2022 at Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born March 26, 1930 at Havana the daughter of Clarence and Ruth (Haack) Eaton. She married Junior M. Brooks on December 31, 1951 at Havana. He died April 7, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are one daughter, Gail (Thomas) Berry of Lewistown, one son, Dale (Deanna) Brooks of Canton, five grandchildren, Marc (Stephanie) Sepich of Mackinaw, Marla (Sean) Sterner of Crystal Lake, Nicole (Jason) Westerfield of Lewistown, Emily (Shane Williams) Rohlwing of Lewistown, and Alex (Christopher) Clogg of Cuba, twelve great grandchildren, Hunter Westerfield, Logan Westerfield, Makaylea Sepich, Macaden Sepich, Marciella Sepich, Bo Rohlwing, Maryssa Williams, Luke Sterner, Liliann Sterner, Azilynn Brooks, Daxtyn Clogg, and Adileigh Norma Ann Clogg, and one great great grandchild, Jaxon Westerfield, one sister, Doramae Norton, and one brother, James Eaton.
Norma worked at the Farmers State Bank of Lewistown as an assistant cashier for many years. She was a member of the Lewistown United Methodist Church where she was also a member of Ruth’s Circle. Norma enjoyed traveling with her husband, and attending the grandchildren’s ballgames.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday May 21st at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown with Reverend Shane Smith officiating. Burial will follow the service. There will be no visitation. Andrew J. Stone, 71, of Fairview, passed away at 9:04 pm, Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at his residence. He was born on August 5, 1950 in Canton to Claudie and Melba (Brown) Stone. Eleanor Rose Bourke
Eleanor Rose Bourke, 94, of, The Villages, Florida, formerly of Fulton County, died on May 25 in her home.Born July 25, 1927, rural Farmington to Edward C. Vivian Milner Ashton, she married William F. Bourke on April 28, 1951, in Canton. He died April 8, 1995 in Canton.
Surviving is granddaughter, Kelly Kae (Richard) Sharpe of Pasadena, MD, one sister Mrs. June (John) Heckard of Bradenton, Florida, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son, James Joseph on October 9, 2002; Samuel Carruthers on August 15, 2004; and daughter Anne Rose, an infant; and three brothers, Roy G, Kenneth V, and Robert C Ashton; one sister, Marjorie L. Knox.
She was a civil service employee with the Air Technical Service Command in Chicago, followed by 35 years at Sears, Roebuck and Company in Canton as Audit Mgr/Office Supervisor, followed by Catalog Department Mgr. and Assistant Store Mgr. In 1982 she became co-owner/co-operator of Elra Inc. for four years. In 1987 she became an associate of Aflac insurance.
She formerly chaired Citizen's Advisory Council, Canton School District 66 and Business Careers Advisory Committee of Soon River College. She served as a Delegate to the Sears, Roebuck and Co. Profit Sharing Fund of Sears Employees Advisory Council in 1976-77. She was an active participant in Canton Bowling Association for more than twenty years.
On April 22, 1972 she was presented the Key to the City of Canton. She was the honored recipient as "Daily Ledger Woman of the Year" in 1981 and "YWCA Salute to 'Women of Achievement' in 1994.
A charter member in 1956 and past president of Federated Business and Professional Women's Local Organization of Canton, charter member in 1975 and past president of International Altrusa Club of Canton; past president of Illinois Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs Inc; past member board of directors of National Federation of Business and Professional Women/USA. In 1972 she attended the ERA Congressional Jubilee in Washington, D.C. and also the Congress of Outstanding Business and Professional Women of Americas in San Salvador, El Salvador.
She has been a member of the Board of Directors of Fulton Count Unit of the American Cancer Society since 1957 and served as treasurer for many years. She is past president and crown princess of Tau Chapter, Lambda Chi Omega sorority; past member board of directors YWCA; past president GFWC Illinois/Canton Woman's Cub; past president Blue Chip Investment Club; member Spoon River College Literacy Council; Spoon River Hospice of Graham Hospital; Fulton County Farm Bureau; Canton Chamber of Commerce; Canton Country Club; Spoon River Garden Club and Board of Directors of Rotary Club of Canton. She is listed in the 1996-1997 edition of Who's Who in Executives and Professionals.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Canton for 48 years where she was a former trustee, elder and deaconess. On April 19, 1998 she became a member of Wesley United Methodist and served on the Worship Committee.
In 2011 she moved to The Villages, Florida, and in December of that year became a member of New Covenant United Methodist Church in The Villages.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at 2 pm, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. Her niece, Rev. Marilyn Anell, will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 pm. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.

Edna M. Miller
Edna M. Miller, 100, of Rushville, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Apostolic Christian Restmor Care Center in Morton, IL. She was born on November 13, 1921 at the family home near Browning, IL, the daughter of Lossie and Lula (Gibson) Bollinger. Edna married David E. Miller on February 21, 1942. David preceded Edna in death on February 16, 2012.
Edna was a farm wife and active in her community as a 4-H Leader, and a member of Schuyler County Home Extension. She was an active member of the Bader Christian Church.
Also preceding her in death are her parents, brother, Virgil Bollinger, 5 sisters, Donna Wehmeier, Hermenia Egbert, Inez Egbert, Betty Riebling and Marilyn Orwig, and son-in-law, Cecil Davis.

Martha married Neil Bergstralh on December 20, 1970, in Canton. He preceded her in death on October 20, 2009.
She is survived by her mother Maxine Leezer, three children, Douglas (Patty) Bergstralh of Canton, Michael (Sandy) Bergstralh of Canton and Jeffrey (Heather) Bergstralh of Fairbury, one sister Marla Jo (the late Bill) Hedden of Canton, one brother Lloyd Eldon Leezer Jr. (Michael Crane) , seven grandchildren, Jayde, Brennan, Tyler, Braden, McKenna, Abby, and Jacob, eight great grandchildren, Adisyn, Austyn, Jaxson, Asher, Chandler, Kamdyn, and Kai, with one great grandchild on the way, and one special friend Butch Vance.

Martha retired from Canton Union School district where she was a bus monitor, she also helped in the cafeteria for many years. She also worked at Skateland in Canton. Martha enjoyed watching all game shows on T.V. She was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed listening to country music. Most of all Martha loved spending time with her family and friends, she especially loved her grandchildren, spending time with them and attending the countless activities they were involved in.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Greenwood cemetery in Canton.

Joyce Ann Cowan
Joyce Ann Cowan, age 84 from Crawfordsville, Indiana, passed away at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 14th at the home of her daughter in Crawfordsville with her family at her side. She was born on October 13, 1937, in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Rudolph and Edna (Harmon) Smith. She is survived by Vernon “Bobby” Cowan who she married on April 5, 1964, in Keokuk, Iowa.
Also surviving are her five children: Elizabeth (and Randy) Cordell of Crawfordsville, Verna (and Darrell) Caho of East Peoria, Illinois, Rachel (and Jim) Campbell of Crawfordsville, Sharon (and Jerry) Burdess of Cuba, Illinois, and Sam (and Stephanie) Cowan of New Washington, Indiana, fifteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two sisters, Helen Adams of Zanesville, Ohio and Loretta Kotzmoyer of Landisville, Pennsylvania and brother Frank (and Juanita) Smith of Greenville, South Carolina. Joyce was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
Joyce graduated from Limestone Community High School in Bartonville, Illinois. She was a homemaker dedicating her life to her family. Joyce was faithful in serving God, by providing lodging and food to man¬y of God’s servants over her lifetime. She was a devoted and active member of several churches over the years. Most recently she was a member of the Fremont Street Baptist Church in Crawfordsville, Indiana, where she and Bob resided. Joyce loved to entertain and was an excellent cook who always had a home that was warm and inviting to all who came by. She loved her grandchildren and they called her “Meme”. She had a way of making her grandchildren feel special in their own way. Joyce will be greatly missed by her husband, family, friends, and acquaintances.

Ronald Pritchard
Ronald Pritchard, 80, of Canton, passed away, Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
He was born on January 9, 1942, in Galesburg, to Bernard "Pete" and Edith (Stoneking) Pritchard. They preceded him in death along with one brother Zane Pritchard.He Married Martha (Boultinghouse), on October 18, 1996 in Lewistown. She preceded him in death on June 1, 2020.
He is survived by six children, Shannon (Amber) Pritchard, Josh Pritchard, Doryan Konhorst, Kelly (Terry) Collins, Craig (Candy) Harkless, Brian Harkless, sixteen grandchildren, Zach (Britlynn) Pritchard, Luc Pritchard, Nick Pritchard, Derek Pritchard, Addy Pritchard, Savannah (Bryan) Berlin, Gabbi (Corey) Gabler, Hannah Konhorst and Landon Konhorst, Jeremy (Brandi) Smith, Katie (Derek) Halsey, Skyler (Ariel) Harkless, Nick (Kelsie) Vaughn, Myles Harkless, Chloe Harkless, Izzy Harkless, Twenty one great grandchildren.
Ron worked for Freeman United Coal Mine he retired after their closing. He later worked as Park Ranger for the Canton Park District at Lakeland and was a member of the Canton masonic Lodge. Ron enjoyed hunting and fishing and eating good food. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan and he enjoyed the many years of attending all his children and grandchildren's sporting events.
A graveside service will be held on Friday May 20, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery in Canton.

She was born on May 6, 1933 in Fulton County, IL, the daughter of Harley and Ina Curless. Donna married Walter Burrell Lane on December 19, 1954 in Jacksonville, IL.
Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda (and Kevin) Spellacy of Vero Beach, FL, 2 grandsons, Matthew (and Jill) Spellacy of Palatine, IL and Daniel (and Kelly) Spellacy of Hoffman Estates, IL, 5 great-grandchidlren, and her brother Jackie L. Cureless of Havana, IL.
Preceding Donna in death were her husband, Walter, son, Bradley Lane, brother, Donal Curless and her sister, Wilma Lawson.
Donna was a secretary for the State of Illinois for many years. She was a member of the Western Oak Baptist Church in Springfield, IL.
Donna loved homemaking, gardening and spending time with her family. Donna’s family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Southington Care Center who cared for Donna with love and compassion in the last years of her life.
Services will be held at 11 am on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, IL. Pastor Matthew Thiner will be officiating. A visitation will take place 1 hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be in the Browning Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.

Nancy A. Kirk, 68, of Bartonville, passed away at 11:55 AM on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at her residence. She was born on May 22, 1953 in Peoria, a daughter of Jack and Alice (Self) Modlin.
Surviving are her children, Nick Bridges Jr. of Trivoli; Katie (Michael) Mueller of Washington; two grandchildren, Milo, and Leo, to whom she was the best “Nannie". Two sisters, Barbara (Rich) Gillespie of Bartonville, and Mary Jane (Ron) Strawser of Bartonville, and a "same as a sister", Rhonda Welsh of Naples, Florida; one nephew, Sam (Molly) Jones of Denver, Colorado.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, and step-parents, Jack (Father) & Colleen Modlin, and Alice (Mother) & Harold Darby.
She graduated from Limestone High School in Bartonville, Class of 1971, and later graduated from Illinois Central College in East Peoria, where she received her Associates Degree. Nancy worked as a Medical Office Assistant for the Midwest Urological Group in Peoria for 40 plus years. She attended Northwoods Community Church, was on the Limestone High School 50-year class reunion committee, and was a volunteer for SAMS Rescue in Hanna City, where she had the love for animals, especially cats, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Fan.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Endsley-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Bartonville. Graveside services and burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Rev. Kevin VanTine will officiate. Carolyn L. Woods, 84, of Canton, passed away at 11:26 pm on January 6, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on February 13, 1937 in Canton to Ralph and Ada (Sexton) Wilson. Carolyn married James W. Woods. He preceded her in death on November 27, 1989. Also preceding her in death were her parents, one sister Joanne Crosetto and one niece Chris Brissett.Surviving is one son Steve (Colleen) Van Rossem of Park Ridge, two step children: Kathy (Eric) Franz of Goodfield and Mike (Judy) Woods of Haslet, TX, four grandchildren; Brian Franz, Zach (Allison) Franz, Nick (Lucinda Morris) Franz and Mike Woods, two great-grandchildren; Lili and Nora Franz, one sister-in-law Linda Woods and three nieces; Lora (Chuck) Fischer, Audra (Joe) Medvesky and Sabra (Pat) Maurice.

Larry Leroy Kahbeah
Larry Leroy Kahbeah, 80, of Tallula, Illinois, passed away at his home on Thursday, April 28, 2022. He was born on October 5, 1941, in Blackfoot, Idaho, the son of Oliver and Columbia Jada (Herrick) Kahbeah. He married Mary Pettit who preceded him in death.
Larry was a member of the Kickapoo Indian Tribe in Kansas.
Larry is survived by his children, Todd (wife Lynn) Kahbeah of Springfield, Illinois, Melissa (husband Bob) of Tallula, Illinois, Marsha Kahbeah of Tallula, and Mavis Cooke of Springfield; his grandchildren, Marc, Meagan, Kylee, Ava and Apolo; and his great grandchildren, Matthew, Evan, Emma, Marian and Ethan.
