She was born March 2, 1930 at Peoria, the daughter of Robert and Mae (McCall) Cooper. She married John H. Shaw on December 26, 1948 at Cuba. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2018. Survivors include two daughters, Debbie (Jerry) Conner of Macomb, and Betsy (Ron) Mayall of Canton, four grandchildren, Todd (Joanna) Conner, Shanna (Dan) Krause, Chad (Staci) Mayall, and Sara Mayall, and four great grandchildren.
Shirley had worked in the parts department at Caterpillar in the late 40’s and 50’s. She was a member of the Cuba Christian Church where she had served as a Deacon, and Deaconess, and was a member of P.E.O. Chapter CB. She was a volunteer at Graham Hospital and Coleman Clinic.
Cremation will be accorded. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday May 28, 2022 at Cuba Cemetery with Pastor Mike Arnett officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cuba Christian Church. Condolences may be made at henrylange.com
