Cuba- Larry Richard (Hoss) Bevard, 88, of Cuba passed away at 11:00 PM Monday March 7, 2022 at Graham Hospital in Canton.
He was born October 11, 1933, at home in Marietta, Illinois to Glore Curtis Bevard and Sylvia Mildred (Bartlett) Bevard.
He married Kathryn Boling November 27, 1961, and has four daughters: Debra Boling, Darla Custer, Dena Bevard and Della Milleson; two grandchildren: Alexandria Custer and Steven Milleson and one great grandson, Wyatt Milleson, and one brother Garry Bevard. He was preceded in death by both parents, wife and five siblings: Georgia Lee Downing, William Bartlett, Donita McCloskey, Marcia Bevard and Glorita Hunter.
Hoss was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs and loved seeing them win the 2016 World Series. He also loved cars, especially his Model A and Model T.
Larry was an Army Veteran who served during the Korean War from 1950 to 1953.
He retired after 45 years from Local 649 Operating Engineers.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 15th at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba with Reverend Larry Wright officiating. Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery with military services conducted by Cuba American Legion Russell Smith Post 533. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the memorial home.
