Aimee Rains

Canton - Aimee Rains, 58, of Canton, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at her home in Canton.

She was born on November 4, 1963, to John and Betty (McCullum) Peterson. They preceded her in death along with one brother, John and one sister Mary.
She is survived by her husband Jimmy Rains, two children, Nicole Banks, and Jimmy (Reen) Rains Jr., one brother Pete, one sister Suzie, and four grandchildren, Julia, Mya, Ryan and Hailey.
Aimee graduated from Western Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in computer science. She enjoyed many years of schooling especially Geology. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers and carpentry project with her husband. Aimee was also a talented artist and was always very proud of her father John who was a decorated Veteran of World War II, where he was also a prisoner of was for two years.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
