Bonnie C. Hagen, 86, of Maquon, IL passed away at 9:45 PM with her family by her side onSunday, February 27, 2022. She was born on September 1, 1935, in Canton,IL. She was the
daughter of Alva and Leota (Ashby) Lingenfelter. She married her loving husband of 65 years,
John L. “Jack” Hagen on July 1, 1953, in Canton, and remained faithfully married. They have
now reunited in heaven.
She is survived by her children, John G. Hagen, of Rapatee, Tim (Michelle) Hagen of Peoria,
Lynnette Hagen of Lakewood, CA and longtime best friend, Sonya Levitt and one brother,
Ronald Lingerfelter (Judy) of Salem, AL.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one son,
John Michael Hagen, daughter in law Ronda Hagen, and one brother Raymond Lingenfelter.
Bonnie is remembered as a woman of strong faith, as she attended Coal Creek Bible Church.
She retired as a baker from Canton Junior High School cafeteria. She also enjoyed working at
Silver Dollar City in the pottery shop where she "never met a stranger". Most importantly, she
was known as a loving mother who always took care of her family. In her free time, she enjoyed
sewing, quilting, and loved her wildlife, especially her birds.
Funeral Service will be held at 5 PM on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 5:00 PM the same day. Pastor Michael Jackson will officiate. Burial of ashes will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton, IL at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Fulton County Humane Society.
