Ruth P. Thomas

Lewistown – Ruth P. Thomas, 66, of Lewistown passed away at 6:55 am Saturday, May 30, 2020 at the Loft Rehabilitation Center in Canton.  She was born on March 27, 1954 in Chicago to Rhoades and Pearl (Hadlock) Cleavinger. 

Ruth married David Thomas on April 7, 1973 at the Bader Christian Church.  He survives along with three children; Allan Thomas of Astoria, Melissa (Jeff) Payton of Astoria, and Jan Nicole (Jordan Vaughn) Thomas of Astoria, three grandchildren; Ashlynn (Christopher) Tournear of Vermont, Anthony (Kaylen Davidson) Payton of Astoria, Cecily Vaughn of Astoria, one brother Joe Cleavinger of Rushville, step brother Tom Hadlock of Rockford, two sisters; Mary Keeler of Lewistown and Vera (Tim) Vaughn of Paris, IL. and mother-in-law Doris Thomas of Astoria. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bob Cleavinger, step-brother Fred Hadlock and sister Rose Davis.

Ruth loved going out to eat and spending time with family and friends.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a private celebration will take place at a later date. 

Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of arrangements.
