Occupation: machinist at Caterpillar Tractor Company in East Peoria for 30 years. He later became a school bus driver for VIT School District for 10 years. 

Military: US Air Force from 1956 to 1960

Memberships: member of UAW Local #974 and the Ipava American Legion. He enjoyed playing softball and basketball in his younger days. He loved to fish, hunt, and camp. He was an election judge in Farmers Township, Fulton County.
