He was born on December 27, 1934 in Pana, IL to Walter and Icie (McDowell) Klindworth.
He married Mary Ann Hancock on June 16, 1962 in Henderson KY. She preceded him in death on September 22, 2013.
Surviving are his two children, Kris (Christine) Klindworth of Champaign, Kathy (Eric) Davis of Kankakee, brother, Carl Klindworth of Plainfield, six grandchildren, Katie (Jack) Jordan, Lauren Klindworth, Grace Davis, Hope Davis, Isaiah Davis, Josiah Davis and one sister-in-law Donna Husk of Henderson KY.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and one son, Kelvin.
Lloyd served in the U.S. Army. He graduated from University of Illinois and was a proud fan of the football and basketball programs. He later worked for and retired from the Metropolitan Sanitary District where he ran the farm operation. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Canton and was active in the local church’s fishing club and Fulton County Couples Club. He enjoyed collecting antiques and toy tractors.
A private graveside service will be held on Friday, April 17, 2020 at Greenwood Cemetery with a live Facebook feed starting at 11 A.M.
Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton have been entrusted with arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church College Fund.
