Canton – Drake Timothy Yerbic, 20, of Canton, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020. He was born on August 23, 1999 in Canton to Jeff Yerbic and Toshia Shaw.
Surviving are his parents; step-mother, Jill Yerbic; one brother, Austin (Elizabeth Belville) Yerbic; two step-brothers, Russ and Chris Grammer; his grandparents; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Drake worked as a field tech for Orkin Pest Control. He was a member of the FFA, Black Diamond Archery, and the Bass Fishing Team. His cousins, Rex and Logan looked up to him. Drake loved football, holding the position of single wing and was captain both his Junior and Senior year. He was a part of the 2016 Canton High School Football season where they made it to the final four IHSA playoffs. Drake has a passion for the outdoors, chasing that big buck, and waiting on ducks.
A celebration of life and fundraiser for a football scholarship in his name will be held at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL.
