Anna Eileen Hauber, age 95, passed away in Port Orange Florida, on June 26, 2019.
She was born on May 18, 1924, in Chicago, Illinois to Irish immigrants James and Margaret Lavin.
Mrs. Hauber was preceded in death by husband Dr. Marlow Hauber, her parents and three siblings, Marie Fanjoy, Margaret Proszek and James Lavin.
She is survived by her children, Mark (Ellyn) Hauber of Chicago, Illinois; Nancy Hauber of Port Orange, Florida; and two grandchildren, Erika Hauber of Chicago, Illinois and Erin Hauber of Chicago, Illinois.
During the 1940’s Mrs. Hauber worked as a secretary at Wyckoff Steel in Chicago. After marrying and moving to Canton in 1952, she worked as a secretary for International Harvester. She later became the office manager for her husband’s Optometry practice.
Mrs. Hauber graduated from Harper High School in Chicago and later attended Art Institute in Chicago.
Mrs. Hauber was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, The Altruistic Club, The Spoon River China Painting Guild, Myerlee Country Club and was active in the community.
She enjoyed china painting, roller skating, ice skating, dancing, playing golf, travel, cooking, the Chicago Cubs and her beloved pets Nikko, Mishka and Honey.
