Canton – Stacie M. Dowell, 45, of Canton, passed away at 6:30 AM on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home. She was born on October 8, 1973 in Canton to Steven A. and Jan (Ubell) Dowell.
Surviving is her mother, Jan, two best friends, Amanda Petty and Cassie Price both of Canton, many lifelong friends, and her beloved dog, Rudy.
Stacie was preceded in death by her father, Steven.
Stacie worked as a medical office assistant at UnityPoint Methodist Center in Canton, IL. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Canton, IL. Owning a jeep was Stacie’s pride and joy. She was an avid Notre Dame and Chicago Cubs fan. Stacie loved music and dancing, she was an outgoing person and was never shy about voicing her opinion.
Services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, May 27, 2019 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Canton, IL. A visitation will be held from 2-5 PM on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home or St. Mary’s Food Pantry.
