Canton – Mildred S. Green, 81, of Canton, passed away at 9:27 PM on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Graham Hospital. She was born on February 26, 1938 in Canton to Samuel and Henrietta (Buley) Switzer. She married Charles Green Jr. on March 17, 1955 in Astoria, he preceded her in death.
Mildred was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and four sisters.
Surviving are three children, Rick (Laurie) Green of Canton, Theresa Wilcoxen of Canton, and Joyce (Late Kenneth) Thompson of Canton; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Jennie Switzer of Canton.
Mildred was a member of the Woodland Church of the Brethren in Woodland Township, IL.
Graveside services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Salem-Wilcoxen Cemetery in Bryant, IL. Rev. Lisa Fike will officiate. A visitation will be held from 9-9:30 AM at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL on Saturday. Memorials may be made to the 1st Baptist Church Food Pantry.
