Lewistown- Vonee Davis, 89, of Lewistown passed away at 2:37 AM Tuesday August 28, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born December 25, 1928 at Ipava the daughter of Walter and Gladys (Ebbert) Kinnamon. She married Jack Davis on August 17, 1947 at Ipava. He died December 25, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Cynthia Davis, and her brother Gerald Kinnamon. Surviving are one son, Jack Davis, one daughter Lynn Barrineau and one granddaughter, Emily Barrineau all of Lewistown.
Vonee was a homemaker and worked as a legal secretary for 25 years at the Fulton County States Attorney’s Office. She was a member of the Illinois Street Christian Church. Vonee was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards and doing crossword puzzles. She loved to cook.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown with Pastor Brant Reed officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lewistown Carnegie Library or the Fulton County Humane Society. Online condolences may be made at henrylange.com.
