Canton- Carol A. Tippey-Woollums, 79, of Canton, passed away at 10:40 AM Saturday August 11, 2018 at her home.
She was born May 2, 1939 at Canton, the daughter of Dwayne and Dorotha (Perry) Frederick. She married Jim Woollums in 1991 at Burlington, IA. He survives with five children, Clay Tippey and Dena Tippey both of Lexington, KY; Michelle (James) Kelly of Bloomfield, NJ; Cathy (Steve) Hadsall of Canton, and James (Jennifer) Woollums of Spring Hill, FL; seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Linda Arnett.
Carol retired in 1995 from Illinois Bell where she worked as a telephone operator many years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She enjoyed gardening, shopping on QVC, and spending time with family.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown, where visitation will be held one hour prior. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lewistown. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Condolences may be made at henrylange.com
