Canton – Mary Alice Henderson, 94, of Canton passed away at 12:20 am Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Red Oak Estates in Canton. She was born on May 9, 1924 in Canton to Peter and Vera (Stefanich) Starcevich. Mary Alice married Harold A. Henderson on February 11, 1950 in Canton. He preceded her in death on October 24, 2002. Also preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers; Joseph and Peter “Sonny” Starcevich. Surviving are two sons David A. (Jeanie) Henderson of Morris and Joseph M. (Maria) Henderson of Canton, brother Jim Starcevich of Canton, sister Elizabeth Krulac of Wheaton, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Mary Alice was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, VFW Auxiliary, Moose, and Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge 0354.
Services will be 11 am, Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Canton.
