Canton – Rosemary Yocum, 90, of Canton, passed away at 2:28 AM on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Graham Hospital. She was born on February 14, 1928 in Lewistown to Kyle J. and Madeline (Parkinson) Cook. She married Robert L. Yocum on August 14, 1945 in Lewistown, IL, he preceded her in death on March 6, 2003.
Also preceding her in death were her parents and infant son.
Surviving are four children, Larry (Jowana) Yocum of Canton, Ronald Yocum of Canton, Brenda (John) Horton of Canton, and Melody (Ronald) Harris of Canton; 11 grandchildren, Ryan Yocum, Chantel Goforth, Kim Brinson, Chad Yocum, Renee Stockov, Tracy Delost, John Horton, Robert Horton, Amy Plunk, Preston Harris, and Courtney Poremba; 21 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Morris (Mary Ellen) Cook of Lewistown.
Rosemary worked at the Department of Children and Family Services for 15 years. She was a member of First Christian Church in Canton.
Services will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, where a visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 PM. Rev. Kevin Kessler will officiate. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton. Memorials can be made to Miami Project to Cure Paralysis.
