Kerry Jo Simpson, age 56 of Rushville, IL, passed away at 6:19 pm Monday, November 6, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. She was born on January 15, 1961 in Rushville, the daughter of Rodney E. and Donna M. (Robinson) Belville.
She is survived by her son Clint (and Dawn) Belville of Browning, IL, two daughters, Jessica (and Jason) Chandler of Ft. Wayne, IN and Natasha (and Ben) Ogden of Havana, IL, 14 grandchildren, her father Rodney (and Mary Lou) Belville of Springfield, IL and her brother David (and Cathy) Belville of Astoria, IL.
Kerry was preceded in death by her mother.
She was a homemaker who loved music. She was a big part of the music community, especially at The Barn in Lewistown, IL, the River City Opry in Havana, IL, and her brother's band, Galena Road.
She developed her own card business, Kerry's Cards and Crafts.
Kerry was an amazing mother and friend.
Services will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 10:00 am at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Pastor Matthew Thiner will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, November 9th at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Astoria. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood cancer.
