Banner – Roberta “Bert” Alene Franciskovich, 63, of Banner, IL, passed away at 3:11 PM on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Graham Hospital E.R. She was born on January 6, 1954 in Canton, IL to Robert and Doris (Cowden) Myers. She married Fred Franciskovich on January 27, 1973 in Canton, IL. He survives.
They were blessed with two daughters, Kaytlin Franciskovich of Banner, IL and Elizabeth Doucette of Mattoon, IL; three grandchildren, Alaska, Indigo, and Roberta; and one brother, Robert “Zeke” (Carol) Myers Jr. of Breeds, IL. Bert and Fred were also foster parents to many children over the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Bert served as trustee for Banner Township and Lady’s Auxiliary for Banner Fire Department. She was a loving wife, sister, and aunt.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Canton Assembly of God, 200 Stonegate Dr., Canton, IL 61520. Cremations rite will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Memorials can be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
