Jerry Eugene Jenkins, 77, of Canton, passed away at 11:49 AM on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Sunset Rehabilitation Center in Canton, IL. He was born on June 18, 1940 in Canton to Harry W. and Lois E. (Powers) Jenkins.
Surviving is one brother, Harry “Hap” (Jake) Jenkins of Canton; one sister, Norma (Gary) Jett of Canton; several nieces and nephews, and two cousins that were also his caretakers, Sue Armstrong and Jennifer Mahr.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.
Jerry retired from International Harvester Navistar. He was a member of National Rifle Association. Jerry enjoyed hunting and collecting guns.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton. Rev. Greg Ogle will officiate. Memorials can be made to American Diabetes Association. To make online condolences you may go to www.sedgwickfuneralhomes.com
