Canton – Margaret P. Galloway, 81, of Canton passed away at 10:05 am Tuesday, July 26, 2016 in Florida. She was born on February 15, 1935 in Pemberton, NJ to Henry and Margaret (Butler) Parker. Margaret married James Galloway on December 3, 1955 in Pemberton, NJ and he preceded her in death on September 20, 1999. Also preceding her in death were her parents, one brother Ed Parker and two sisters; Emily Parker and Marion Abrams. Surviving are two daughters; Kathy (Mike) Rudd of Canton and Christy Shawgo of Lewistown, two sisters; Pearl Stephens of Orange County, CA and Florence Stead of NJ, four grandchildren; Christopher Rudd, Jonathan (Shana) Rudd, Kirsten Shawgo and Caden Shawgo, and two great-grandchildren; Calvin Rudd and Parker Rudd. Also surviving are several nieces and cousins.
Margaret was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Canton, Graham Hospital Service League and a past member of the Canton Bowling League. She loved spending time with family and friends.
Services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with the Rev. Bruce Rushing officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton. Memorial contributions can be made to Graham Hospital Service League or Wesley United Methodist Church.
