Lewistown- Jack W. Taylor, 75, of Lewistown, passed away at 10:35 PM Wednesday July 13, 2016 at Heartland Health Care Center in Canton.
He
was born May 1, 1941 at Lewistown, the son of Charles E. and Mabel
(Davis) Taylor. He married Cheryl Butler on Sept. 17, 1965 at Lewistown.
She survives with three children, Stephanie (Kevin) Wheelwright of
Canton, Brandon C. Taylor of Canton, and Jack Charles “J.C” (Debbie)
Taylor of Lewistown, three grandchildren, Claire E. Wheelwright, Jack R.
Wheelwright, and Lane C. Wheelwright, two step grandchildren, Ashley
Hill, and Taylor Lange, one brother, Carrol Taylor of Canton, and two
sisters, Carolyn Danner of Lewistown, and Susan Sarti of Manito. He was
preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and three sisters.
Jack
was a 1960 graduate of Lewistown High School. He was a retired coal
miner having worked locally at Cuba #9, Buckheart, Industry, and Norris
Mines over the years. He had also worked at MSD. He served in the Army
Reserves and was a member of the Lewistown American Legion, and was a
social member of Lewistown VFW Post 5001. He enjoyed fishing and
gardening, and was a hands on inventor of small gadgets.
Cremation will be accorded. A visitation will be held Tuesday July 19th
from 4-6 PM at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown followed by a
memorial service at 6:00 PM. Military rites will be accorded following
the service at the funeral home by Lewistown VFW Post 5001 and American
Legion Bishop Post 1. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton
County Humane Society or the Lewistown United Methodist Church. To view
