Canton – Junior L. Dallefeld, 85, of Canton passed away at 5:38 pm Monday, July 4, 2016 at Graham Hospital in Canton. He was born on July 19, 1930 in Fairview, IL. to Raymond and Margaret (Simon) Dallefeld. Junior married Agnes G. Johnson on November 18, 1961 in Knoxville, IL. She preceded him in death on July 23, 2008. He later married Shirley (Wiesehan) Varnes on August 1, 2009 in Canton. She survives along with his six step-children; Michael Varnes of Elmwood, Richard (Janet) Varnes of Peoria, Denise (Sean) Pasieka of Canada, Connie (Curt) Green of St. David, Sandra (Charlie Draper) Hensley of Canton, and Karen (Gary) Avery of Missouri, ten grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Junior was an electrician for Midland Coal Company. He was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War and member of the American Legion. Junior was of the Lutheran faith, an avid bowler, trap shooter and liked to fish.
Services will be 2:30 pm Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, IL.
