Steven
L. Williams, 62, of Trivoli passed away at 11:11 pm Saturday, February
7, 2015 at his residence. He was born on May 21, 1952 in Ft. Leonard
Wood, MO. to Edward Dean and Jo Ann (Courtwright) Williams. Steven
married Annette Weaver on April 19, 1980 in Peoria. She survives along
with his mother Jo Ann of Canton, 3 children; CPT Trevor (Kristine)
Williams of Ft. Lewis, WA, SSG Joshua (Kimberly) Williams of Ft. Leonard
Wood, MO. and Audrey ( Zachary) Wise of Glasford, 1 grandchild Troy
Williams, and 2 sisters; Sharon (Paul) Doubet of Farmington, and Susann
Bendrick of Overland Park, KS. He was preceded in death by his father. Steven earned a bachelor's degree from Oregon State University in Construction Engineering.
Steven
worked as the Director of Field Operations and Safety Director for P.J.
Hoerr Inc. He was a member of Trivoli United Methodist Church. Steve’s
greatest passions in life were his family, friends and faith. He was
the best husband. He was the most loving and proud father. Steve’s
faith and church family were a driving force in his life. He was
dedicated to his work. He won numerous safety awards and helped save
countless lives during his career. He also had a love of nature.
Fishing, hunting and camping were favorite outdoor activities. He will
always be remembered for his kindness, love and generosity to anyone he
met.
Services
will be 1 pm Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial
Home in Canton with the Rev. Bob DeBolt officiating. Visitation will be
from 5-8 pm Wednesday, February 11th at the Memorial Home.
Burial will follow in Trivoli Cemetery. Memorials can be made to either
his church or Don Bohlander Parkinson’s Fund RACERS.
