Keith Edmonson, 90 of London Mills, IL passed away Saturday January 31, 2015,
11:25 am. at his home. He was born
June 13, 1924 in Fulton County, IL the son of Frank and Julia Witter
Edmonson. He married Margaret
Mantonya on May 27, 1942 in Canton, MO.
She preceded him.
He
is survived by three children Diana (late Arnie) Reed of Lewistown, IL, Ronnie
of London Mills, IL and Lonnie (Sharron) of Ellisville, IL; 8 grandchildren
Ernie (Beth) Etter of Dixon, IL, Annette (Craig) Luttrell of Lewistown, IL,
Kristal (Rich) Downing of Fairborn, OH, Courtney, Kent, Colby Edmonson, Trevor
(Colleen) Edmonson of Bourbonnais, IL and Sam Edmonson of Ellisville, IL; 4
great grandchildren April Ratcliff, Savannah Downing, Taylor Williams, and
Cayden Boyer; 2 great great grandchildren Skylee McFall, and Vada Ratcliff. He was preceded in death by his parents,
wife, 2 brothers (Giles and Gerald), 1 sister (Kathryn Saunders), 1 niece (Kay
Saunders), 3 sons-in-law (Kent Taylor, Arnie Reed, Stanley Etter); he was also
preceded in death by Annebelle Sampson who was a faithful and loving companion
in the later years. They enjoyed
gardening and country music together.
He
and his wife managed and operated their trucking company and worked on the
farm. He was a World War II Vet and
a member of the London Mills American Legion. He spent most of his years living and
working in the London Mills area.
He was a professional truck driver for nearly 60 years and owned a small
family farm. He enjoyed driving
trucks, raising cattle, just working in general and tipping a few at the local
bars with some friends.
Funeral service will be Friday February 6, 2015, 10:30 am
at the London Mills United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the West Midway
Cemetery London Mills, IL.
Visitation will be Thursday eve February 5, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 pm at the
London Mills United Methodist Church.
