Occupation: Moved to Fulton County when she was 7 years old. Graduated from Astoria High School in
1932. She worked as a domestic for more
than 30 families. She was a seed sorter
at Mummert Seed Company in Astoria and worked at the Astoria Locker Plant. She did quilting for many people. She quilted over 100 quilts for other
people. She made and quilted quilts for
all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was well known for her pie baking,
especially coconut cream.
Memberships: Woodland Church of the Brethren. She was President of the Sunshine Club and
President of the South Fulton Sr. Citizens Group in Astoria. She was also a member of the Woodland Cemetery
Board.
