Dearl Lee Rose

Dearl Lee Rose, 85, of Canton, passed away, Monday, January 26, 2026, at his home in Canton.

He was born in Canton, on July 24, 1940, to Herman and Maxine (Biggerstaff) Rose. They preceded him in death.

Dearl first married Marilyn (Elliott) Rose and shared three children, Diana (Bob) Juraco, Darren (Brenda) Rose, and Ryan (Michelle) Rose, and five grandchildren. They later divorced and she preceded him in death in 2022. He later married Patricia “Patty” (Price) Rose in 2005, she survives as well as three step children, Caprice (Eric) Sweatt, Tracy Martinez, and Cassie (the late Jerry) Carnes, four step grandchildren, and five step great grandchildren. Also surviving is his brother, Harold (Linda) Rose.

Dearl is a Veteran of the United States Air Force he served from 1958 – 1962, while in the service he was a medic stationed in Germany. He returned home and later joined the Canton Police Department and served for 25 years before his retirement; he then was police Chief in Cuba for 13 years.

Dearl was a racing enthusiast, He enjoyed racing and building stock cars and motorcycles. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a visitation will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon Military Honors will be rendered follow the visitation at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Fulton County.
