Astoria – Thomas E. Forsman 80, of Astoria, passed away at 10:48 am Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Havana Health Care in Havana. Tom was born on June 24, 1939 in Peoria to Milton and Gladys (Hancock) Forsman. They preceded him in death. Surviving are three children; Kevin Forsman of Sister Bay, WI, Darrin Forsman of Bartonville, and Teresa Jackson of Cedar Hills, TX, brother Edward Forsman of Peoria, sister Mary Hardin of Zephyrhills, FL, and several grandchildren.
Tom was union laborer for local union # 165 in Peoria and was a teacher for the local union in Versailles, IL.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton are in charge of arrangements. Memorials can be made to either St. Joseph’s Indian School (stgo.org) or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
