John L. “Jack” Hagen, 86 of Maquon, passed away at 5:45 AM with his family by his side on Friday, January 17, 2020 at his residence. He was born on November 17, 1933 in Canton, a son of Louis and Florine (Kleindienst) Hagen. He married his loving wife of 65 years, Bonnie Lingenfelter on July 1, 1953 in Canton. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, John G. (Ronda) Hagen of Rapatee; Tim (Michelle) Hagen of Peoria; Lynnette Hagen of Lakewood, CA and longtime best friend, Sonya Levitt. He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, John Michael Hagen, and one brother, Louis Hagen.
Jack is remembered as a man of strong faith, as he attended Coal Creek Bible Church, retired from Caterpillar after 37 years, a 32nd degree mason, member of the Masonic Lodge #77 for over 50 years, an avid golfer and hunter. Most importantly, he is known as a loving husband and family man, and will be missed by many.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory, where visitation will be at 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM, with Masonic services at 10:45 AM. Rev. Jacob Tourtillott will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Burial of ashes will be held at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery.
