Canton – Richard G. “Ric” Crawford, 63, of Canton, passed away at 1:55 PM on Monday, December 23, 2019 at his residence. He was born on September 6, 1956 in Peoria, IL to Gerald and Joan (Ashwood) Crawford.
Surviving are three sons, Richard (Jami) Crawford of Farmington, Bryan Crawford of Table Grove, and Ryan Alexander of Soddy Daisy, TN; six grandchildren, Jace Crawford, Landon, Crawford, Ashton Crawford, Taylor Crawford, Krystalyn Lyden, and Bailey Alexander; and one sister, Susie Shaffer of Decatur, IL.
Ric was preceded by his parents and one sister, Debbie Bowen.
Ric retired as a truck driver and also worked as a mechanic, owning many small businesses. He was a member of the Fairview American Legion Post 742, ESDA member, and was a past member of The Elks in Canton.
A celebration of life will be held from 5-7 PM on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at The Elks in Canton, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL.
