Robert D. “Bus” Gray
Lewistown- Robert D. “Bus” Gray, 87, of rural Lewistown passed away Thursday November 14, 2019 at his home.
He was born January 9, 1932 at Cuba the son of Orville and Vada (Peak) Gray. He married Annabel C. Lynch on March 30, 1955 at Palmyra, MO. She died July 26, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one son David Gray, four brothers and one infant sister. Surviving are one daughter, Vickie (Dan) Coon of Galesburg, four grandsons, Rob Gray, Anthony Gray, Josh Coon and Jason Coon, ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Bus owned and operated Robert D. Gray & Son trucking from 1953 until he retired in 2003. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the US Army. He was a lifetime member of the Lewistown VFW Post 5001 and the Lewistown American Legion Bishop Post 1. Bus loved to work in his garden.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Pastor Daniel Siems officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lewistown with military services by the Lewistown VFW Post 5001 and the Lewistown American Legion Bishop Post 1. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Tuesday at the memorial home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lewistown American Legion Post. Online condolences may be made at henrylange.com.
