Ellisville – Ray Markley, 69, of Ellisville, passed away at 6:00 pm, Tuesday, November 19, 2019 in Ellisville. He was born on November 13, 1950 in Chandlerville to Jim and Carol (Wilson) Markley. They preceded him in death.
Ray married Tonya Lawson on October 13, 1989 in Lewistown. She preceded him in death on November 10, 2019.
Surviving are four children; Richard Markley of Canton, Latisha Markley of Las Vegas, NV, Jeremey Markley of Canton and David Markley of Macomb, one brother, Roger “Quig” Markley and two grandchildren, David Merkley of Canton, and Brittany Markley of Quincy.
Preceding him in death are his parents, wife, and one brother Tom Markley.
Ray worked for the grain elevator in Fairview, and enjoyed volunteering for the Fairview Homecoming.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a burial of Ray and Tonya’s ashes will be held at Orendorff Cemetery in December. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of arrangements. To leave online condolences, please visit www.oakshinesfuneralhome.com
